Green Thumbs (?)

We decided to try again this year for a garden. In the past the raccons or rabbits or whatever rodent would eat most of our "crop" so we gave up for two years. But this year, my sweet Max asked if we could plant one. How do you say no to that? We built three garden beds and laid rock through to make it nicer to walk around. We will eventually put up a chicken wire fence - not sure if it will actually work to keep rodents and children out but we shall see.

We are growing a pumpkin plant, squash, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, carrots, green onions, basil, lettuce, beans, peas, a broccoli plant - I can't think of what else. Max checks on the garden every morning, most mornings still in his jammies. He is excited to see what is coming up.
And my peonies are finally starting to bloom. This is the first one. They are so beautiful when they are all full. I love this time of year. Oh, and speaking of outdoor improvements, we got rid of our big tree in the front yard. Its a little weird without it there but it feels so better and looks better!!!
